Members -Assy- Posted January 30, 2010 Members Share Posted January 30, 2010 So i got this sick Kramer Focus 3000, and I know how to set up a floyd rose quite well, but im not really entirely familiar with the inner workings of the tremolo. The damn thing is so stiff that warbles/flutters and easy vibrato just aren't happening, i only have tens on it, 3 springs in a triangular pattern, the top of the "triangle" being on the trem claw. Also the arm is loose. its not hte threaded part thats loose, its the whole arm mechanism. the guitar came with the original wrenches for it, but they dont do anything, it just spins freely. any idea? Members RaVenCAD Posted January 30, 2010 Members Share Posted January 30, 2010 I'd try going to 2 springs if you want a really flubbery feel to it. Some springs are super stiff, and some are flimsy. Have to try it and see. For the arm, I'd replace it with the Schaller arm. So much better than the old ones with the nuts. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I know for a fact that the sprigns that come with the gotoh/wilkinson two point trem are extremely loose, i love those things. Im thinking about buying a tremolo arm kit, but i know there has to be a way to adjust thing this. this guitar was literally never played, so its basically a brand new floyd rose.
