Members bsman
BTW -- is that neck angle normal for a Les Paul (ignorance plea - I've never owned one)? If so, I wonder that they ever DON'T have a broken headstock...

What do you think? Thanks Omar Pretty much sums it up for me as well. I love the color and finish. I'd prefer an ebony fretboard. Not so hot on big logos. Members cbh5150
I'm right with you. A really nice looking LP ruined by the hideous headstock logo of a "band" that I am sure is gonna be a one-(maybe two-) and-done deal like all other "supergroups". Members orbm1
A question arises: Don't they have Focus Groups @ Gibson??? i.e. In 5 post we have come to a toll of 5 - 0 against the headstock; if I were in Gibson's design department, a response like this would raise a flag, don't you think??? Oh well! Omar

Members panther_king
Check the specs; comes PLEK'd from the factory, apparently, with a set of '57 classics or BB3's. also, WTF kind of alloy is 'Zamak' for a bridge/tailpiece? Is that a fancy way of saying 'pot metal'? But yeah; Nice Lester, other than the headstock logo.
Members bsman
Bingo: ZamakFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Zamak ingotZamak (formerly trademarked as ZAMAK[1] and also known as Zamac) is a family of alloys with a base metal of zinc and alloying elements of aluminium, magnesium and copper. Zamak alloys are part of the zinc aluminium alloy family; they are distinguished from the other ZA alloys because of their constant 4% aluminium composition.[2] The name zamak is an acronym of the German names for the metals of which the alloys are composed: zink (zinc), aluminium, magnesium and kupfer (copper).[2] The New Jersey Zinc Company developed zamak alloys in 1929. It may be referred to as pot metal or white metal.
Members Clarknova
Well there's another guitar that didn't need to be made. Thanks Gibson for keeping with you consistency of offering us {censored} that we don't want. In other words...release an affordable SG Jr. reissue for the mass market damn it! Oh well! Omar I've often asked myself the same question. It's scary if they don't, but it's even scarier if they do. That means that their target market is collectors who aren't concerned about their own brand identity. Most of those guitars will rest in their cases and only come out to be photographed for eBay shots. These aren't guitars; they're very expensive souvenirs. Oh well! Omar I dont think they care. guitars are so cheap to make they dont need to make every one a home run. a sig guitar is for the artist so they probably figure that if a guy like sammy is all decked out in gibson gear and sponsorship its worth to make a run of his guitar...the guitar god that he is

Members Funkwire
Jebus. The scrawl on the TRC is bad enough, the Chickenfoot logo pushes it over the edge of the cliff. Everything else about the guitar is fine and dandy. Lost in all the kerfuffle...has anyone noticed that when it comes to signature models...Gibson is now reduced to picking up sloppy seconds from Washburn, of all places? Members Assumer
it just ruins the look of the guitar.
Members MichaelSaulnier
It appears from the Gibson marketing material, that the chickenfoot logo is "silkscreened" on the face of the headstock... This could have the happy outcome of being "easy" to carefully scrape / peel off. Along with a non-offending truss rod cover... this COULD be a very nice LP. I do very much like the color with the maple top... they should make this a production color! M
