Fixing A Gig Bag Zipper

There's no hope. This happens to me all the time with suit cases, jackets, pockets, sports bags. It's a bummer.

Trying to stuff too much into a zippered bag of any kind loosens and breaks the teeth. Or some sort of warpage of the teeth because of rough use.

Replacing the zipper is too much hassle. Fortunately gig bags are cheap.

Usually, gig bags have two zippers that start from the opposite ends of the travel and they might meet in the middle or wherever they wind up.

Keep the bad zipper at one end and use the other good zipper to open and close the case.

Don't stuff too much into the bag. Just the strap. The zipper is coming to the end of it's life. Start thinking about a new case. Bungie cords could take the pressure off of the zipper but that looks tacky.

That's what I feared. I never tried to stuff the bag, but it is a cheapie. Somehow, BOTH zipper pulls have the zipper open on both sides, so I think I'm really screwed. Looks like it's time for a new bag.
