Thinline NEWBY. Please suggest PU's that bring out this design

Just recieved a decent playing partscaster. Looking for a PU set that sounds the best in Thinline guitars. This is my first thin line is has single PC swamp ash, USACG body and neck. It is pretty resonant. Looking for PU's that bring out the resonance difference in designs.

 

Inside this guitar are antiquities but the middle position is weak and unusable. On hand I have 52RI's, Don Mare Danocasters and 5/2 SD's that I could try???

 

ANy PU's I should consider that might give me more of a woodsy, warm semi hollow sound with the ability to turn down the volume. I especially am looking for a good mid position trumpet (Quack?) sound.

 

Plus any volume / tone pots, cap recommendations are appreciated.

 

I wonder what the guitarists in Cold Play and Killers use in their thinlines?

They most probably use the CuNiFe Wide Range originals.

 

I had good experience with the 5/2 SDs. I don't understand why they don't figure more often here.

My actual setup is Harmonic Design Vintage Plus, but seriously considered a neck Humbucker.

Semi-off topic, but are you sure it's not a phase issue?
