I'll bet you guy's were thinking the Beatles !!!!

Well according to Wikipedia a record I worked on was 20 Years ago today:

The Dessert Rose Band "Pages of Life," was released 20 years ago today.

I was Skyping with Booshy today, as he held up a Byrds CD, I told him I'd worked with Chris Hillman once before .. he looked it up and it was exactly 20 years ago today !!!! Amazing !!!

WOW I had no idea it had been 20 years ago, as that was the 1st album I did after working on Billy Idol's "Charmed Life" album in the same Studio !!!!!

Imagine that !!!

We had just taken out a Trident 80B (Billy board) and installed a new Neve' V-Series for the Dessert Rose Band at Track Record in N. Hollywood.

Seems like yesterday, and some very good times.

Well the weird thing is that I found the Byrds CD in a pile of rubbish this morning and thought : Hey let's play that one.,...

What are the chances of me picking up a CD with a guy on it whom you worked with on an album that got released exactly 20 years ago today.

What are the chances of me showing you the CD on videocam?

Weird,...

Herb, John, Jaydee, and Chris had a nice little band, there.

You ought to get in touch with Chris, because last I heard, he was still trying to shop a live album of their 2008 reunion, and couldn't find any takers.

Maybe you know somebody who would be willing to get that to the market? I know I'd love to hear it.

oh, you are not in Holland getting drunk and stoned with Mr. Booshy van Wooshy... first I thought I know the girl, but then I saw it is a music album, well, anyway, I was already too old for pop music 20 years ago, and mama mia, I would be happy if I would remember what I worked a week ago, too much work, but for this year I finished the last production already on November 16th and do nothing at all until January.

have a nice christmas Russ and Booshy,

and once you make it to Swaziland, I have hut where you can drink as much as you like and puke over the meadow together with the cows, but not into the jacuzzi...

Russ, as you know, I did a lot of recording at Track Records back then. One of the sessions, we actually set up and recorded around Billy Idol's equipment ("Charmed Life" sessions in the big room). This was primarily with Bryan Carlstrom. whom I just saw on my birthday a couple of days ago.

Regarding the Neve V-Series board, wasn't that the same board that the second engineer dropped a heavy monitor on, spraying knobs everywhere?
