Members csm
Fabulous album. I've loved it for a VERY long time. Apart from anything else, Freddie's Dead has one of the ... Crunchiest. Riffs. EVAH.

Members brandass
Absolutely. And his reach goes WAY beyond Superfly. One of my all-time favorite musicians of any genre. Curtis. Says it all.
Members deadwax
The Impressions were no slouchs either. shame about the accident that all but ended his career. He left a wealth of great songs.

Members GAS Man
I should probably give that album a listen. I didn't care for that style at the time, but I might appreciate it more so in retrospect. But he's still got a place in my heart for People Get Ready

Members jimwratt
39 years later and Mayfield still sounds incredible.I work as a residential aide in a homeless shelter for drug addicted men in New York City (most of whom are recent releases from the prison system), and that album means more to me now than ever before. Its an anti-drug soundtrack set to a film that glorifies a drug dealer. How awesome can it get?
