Members linthat22
So I'm in the market for a new guitar. Now here comes the dilemma, I want a reverse headstock real bad and an Ibanez. Well, from the guitars Ibanez offer apparently there's an issue with quality in the hardware supplied from what I've read. I like the way Ibanez necks feel (my comparison is my 93 Universe), but know there are other brands out there. So here are the three guitars I found that seem interesting. Two are Ibanez while the other is a B.C. Rich. Ibanez RGR421EXFM Ibanez RG5EX1 or B.C. Rich Zoltan Bathor To me, neck thickness isn't the issue, just the flatness of the fretboard, so what ya'll say? Members Elias Graves
I like the second one. The color is cool and the HSH setup is nice. EG

She said the paint job is very different from what I own (but she's not a guitar player). But overall, for the examples above, it doesn't matter the pickup configuration with one exception: humbucker at the bridge. Any other suggestion is welcome. Members jelloman
I don't think the hardware issues with Ibby are as bad as some are saying but my experience is limited... ...that being said I love wood and woodgrain so of the 3 I would be all over the BC Rich... Members cratz2
Yeah, I like that matte gray finish a lot. I've been about this close to getting the neck thru version of that guitar twice.
Members linthat22
I wouldn't mind a Jackson, but the reverse headstock's on them don't appeal to me. I know it's just cosmetic, but hey, it'll be my real guitar purchase since 93. Real as in a brand name. Anyone have any experience with the Agile Septors? I don't know how flat the fretboard is on those, but looks like quality material

I owned that guitar, and the paintjob was a problem. It was impossible to keep clean, and a thumbnail test showed it wasn't gonna last very long. The guitars you posted vary in price, so what is your budget?

Well, I want to limit myself to 800 bucks, my wife said for me just to suck it up and get what I want no matter the price. So I gots me some wiggle room
Members linthat22
What about this one? It's a different color but has a maple fretboard. Kinda ugly, kinda like it. I think also the back of the neck is unfinished
