I'm a long time PT user and have the latest PT 8 version.... but I am keeping my studio Mac Pro on 10.5.8 for now, simply because SL is not yet qualified. I have SL installed on my MacBook Pro.

I have both 002Rack and Eleven Rack and 002 is rock solid, Eleven has crashed a few times.......{censored}ing annoying. Nice tones though!!

If that's true, I imagine that accounts for at least some of the disk "space savings" people have reported with SL vs Leopard.
:freak:
Probably not all of it (since they supposedly removed all the legacy PPC code), but still...

Yes, both reasons are true -- there are both illusory and real space savings in the new OS.

Best,

Geoff

Actually, it was recently qualified. Details are at the link below:

Official Snow Leopard support, Windows 7 public beta, plus tons of improvements and fixes

I migrated from a G5 to a new MBP with little hassle. I guess Tascam hasn't (maybe won't) make a driver for the US428, but I want to go firewire for a recording interface anyway.
