Members DaveAronow
No WAY!!! I didnt even know he was sick. Wow. My Sharona had a HUGE impact on me when I was a kid. It might be one of my top ten avorite rock songs of all time. Not so much anymore, maybe not even in my top thousand, but there are very few songs that I HAVE loved as much as I loved that one in the day when I DID love it. R.I.P. Doug. Thanks for the cool tunes , the great band, and the great memories. Your songs were part of the soundtrack to my life. Peace

I remember hearing My Sharona while eating some pizza thinking how cool is this? Love the solo in that song...

Members HeatherAnnePeel
Doug was a total romantic, so I find it rather ironic that he passed on Valentine's Day. He is one of my all-time faves, and there is a lot more to The Knack than most people realize. I have all of their albums and Doug's solo album, as well. There's a wealth of great music in his catalog of songs. Highly recommended! I wonder what Berton and Prescott will do now?

Members fretmonster
So young, hard to believe. Sharona on the other hand is still hot and going strong. http://www.mysharona.com/ Better to be a real estate tycoon than a rock star I suppose. RIP Doug, you spread a lot of joy. There's a wealth of great music in his catalog of songs. Highly recommended! +1 to everything you said. Great songwriter. The Knack, to me, were one of those bands from that era that, for whatever reason, were essentially a one-hit wonder but who actually have a pretty stellar catalog of tunes. Marshall Crenshaw and The Vapors come to mind. RIP Doug...
Members flummox
Yep, if you've got to be a one-hit wonder, it might as well be one of the most perfect rock songs ever recorded. There's a lot more I could say, but I think I'll just go off and be quietly old for awhile.
