Members _pete_
list needs Shawn Lane and Greg Howe I'll nominate Mr. Lane. Arguably one the greatest ever. He and Holdsworth are my top 2 greatest players. Get You Back

Members CoqBelliqueux
Yngwie Malmsteen's signature song should have been Far Beyond The Sun. It's more catchy than Black Star. Oh yes. Too bad he doesn't "play" it live.

Members 6StringSling
How do you define "Shredder"? Does it have to be just rock/metal? IMO, there are shredders in most genres. One rocker not listed is Gary Hoey. But what about guys like Dickie Betts, Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed? I'm pretty much an 80's hair metal dude but these guys can all tear it up. Members guitar247
Eric Johnson's Cliffs of Dover has been added to the list as that particular song came from a record that sold very well internationally!
Members Grantus
You know, I've heard maybe three of the songs on that list.
Members guitar247
The guitarists on our list all seem to have a very successful career as either a solo artist or as a hired gun. In effect, these artists have reached a large audience with their shredding !
