Frets99
Frugalguitarist has links to some nice free sim software for recording. I combined three of them to get a pretty lifelike clean tone. LePou Plugins Lextrac which is an amp head that handles clean and overdrive really nicely. Combined that with AcmeBarGig's Cab Enhancer which allows you to change up cabs. I am using a Tweed type here. And Epicverb for a little slapback reverb Short demohttp://www.box.net/shared/6nnzy1qrhg
Members Will Chen
Sounds great! When you get a chance, you've gotta check out the stuff from Aradaz. IMHO, the best free amp sim plugs (their cabinent sim is great as well) out there. Very low latency and efficient (low CPU hit).

And your little demo sounds great. Only negative, it looks like they are all VST plugins:( I've started using Garage Band (and hopefully soon Logic) which uses AU plugins. Members roygbiv
There are some decent free amp sims in AU format, too. Or you could work in Audacity.
Members Will Chen
I'm not sure I have links to the specific plugs used, but here's a few I ran through... http://www.frugalguitarist.com/Frugal.aspx?Issue=7&Page=Free%20Lunch%20-%20VST%20Amp%20Modeling http://www.frugalguitarist.com/Frugal.aspx?Issue=8&Page=Free%20Lunch%20-%20VST%20Amp%20Modeling%20Part%202 And there's also my sticky over in the recording forum: http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?t=1006407

I have an Apogee GIO coming in tomorrow which means I'll be sticking with Garage Band and ultimately Logic/MainStage.
