Members ColoradoFenderB
I have always used 9s on my Fenders and 10s on Gibsons. Thinking about trying 10s on my Tele. Good move or not? Discuss.

Members ColoradoFenderB
10-52 on everything. Fender scale, Gibson scale, PRS ... How big a difference do you notice moving from the longer Fender scale to the shorter Gibson scale? I was told that I would definitely feel the difference when bending strings. Members m90guy
You can definantly tell a differance between scales. I use 10's on my fenders, and 11's on my Gibsons
Members TrickyBoy
I've used the hybrids for 20 years on my tele 9's for the high three strings, 10's for the low

I've put on 11s on 24.75 scale and I like it quite a bit. But I don't really care that much. I can play either.

Members Faber
Depends on the frets and radius. On my Charvel with huge frets and an almost flat board i have 11s. On my fender tele and strat I keep 10s
Members pvwolfgang5150
I keep 9-42 on my Wolfgang, B.C. Rich, and my two Charvels. On my Les Paul, Strat, ASAT Special, and Tele use 10-46.
Members dabbler
The tension difference causes me to use 10s on my Fender scale guits and 11s on my Gibson scale guits. This gives me a similar feel on each. That said, I do keep a few fender scale guits strung with 9s, for the twang factor.

Members Pine Apple Slim
Both really. I use 9s on the Strat. One my tele copy I use 10s cause I tend to play more cowboy chords, use a capo some, and flatpick-chicken pick on it more than the strat, which is used for more rock oriented material. I use 10s on all my 24.75 scale guitars.

Members bsman
So far, I've used .10s. The guitars come with .09s, and these never feel right to me. I've thought about .11s, but I figure I'd need to adjust the action, intonation (and perhaps neck relief), and I'm too lazy...
