Members rusholmeruffian
These have been off the market for a while but are still plentiful on the 'bay. What did people think about them?
Members uvacom-rotatt
I had one, and the neck and body were fine. The problem was really cheap components throughout, badly cut nut, etc.
Members MorganB
They are great sounding and playing but some need a lot of setup, do not worry with the truss rod the vibracell does anything you want and you can get it perfect... at least the model I had that was one of the gold sparkle high end ones
Members Flogger59
I tried some when they first came out. I wasn't expecting much, and electronically it was so-so, but imagine my surprise when it took off into the harmonic feedback note like Jimi's at the end of the Star Spangled Banner. Pretty lively for plastic.
Members Guitzilla
I have an Oscar Schmidt IV that I actually love. I bought it to use at some jams that were being held in a parking lot. I didn't want to take any of my nicer guitars, but I actually find myself grabbing it quite often. It is one of the higher end ones, and I haven't done any modifications to it.
Members dabbler
I only buy value guitars, so I can't compare anything to Fenders, Gibsons, because I only get to play them for short periods. But my guitars get the job done. I began looking for a Switch after playing a used one at Victor Litz, the action was consistent up and down the neck and it was comfortable. I wound up getting a Signature Wild IV, and honestly it is the most stable, consistent and versatile guitar I own. With the Alnico II at the neck and Alnico V at the bridge, individually splittable, it does anything I want to do: One of these days, I'm gonna get me an Aurora semi-hollow! Frets99
I think they're pretty incredible guitars. Playable and not bad at all stock. You can usually get them inexpensively. Honestly, I'm impressed with them. I think if I'd had the white one, I'd have kept it. This color was just a tad too loud for my shy retiring tastes. Members Brewski
I have to say I think this thing is very ugly - But I've played Dabblers and not only does it play Jazz, Blues and Dab's style - the thing Shreds and sounds amazing!! I loved it and he wouldn't sell it to me and I've been searching for one since - wherde did you say they have some? Members IdaCrue
I have one too and I love it. There seems to be lots of hate for the looks, but I love the blue color on mine and I have gotten used to the funky horn. The vibracell with the ebonite fretboard is the way to go. This is one of the guitars in the herd that is here to stay.

Members waynejoness
I picked up a Roland Ready Switch Wild-IV off ebay for around $300, and it is pretty great. The action is low, no buzzing, and the internal pickups sound great. Plus the integration of the Roland pickup is about second to none. If you get a chance to buy one of these...go for it! <img src="https://www.joness.com/gr300/pics/vibracell/switch/wild-iv/vibracell-switch-wild-iv-midi-guitar-roland-ready-00.jpg"> I ended up adding a page to my site with specs and photos on all the guitars, plus videos, vintage advertising and a lot more. I hope this helps people interesting in these really cool guitars! Switch Vibracell Roland Ready Guitars
Members Wildrow
I bought one when they first came out. I still have it and it is one of my favourite guitars in my collection. I was trying to get a hold of the company to have mine registered with them. Mine is a first year flawed guitar. My color didn't exist in their charts. Mine has no serial number. Mine a pick guard that wasn't on them and lastly the single coils sound different than any other one I have played.
