Members Bob Morane
Maybe.. for you. But I think you're not really ''0ld'', > I'm 65yo, & with the Time: you Hear more & more: = in 2012 I had to bye an Pickup-Winder, cause I'd not to Hear much time the poor sound of much pu of my 10 elec guitars, & had no as money to Bye them ''Boutic'' or "Custom PUs'': more than 2.000€, = I'd prefer to by a little Pickup-Winder: a Schatten (Canada) around 500€, in 2012.. - I got 7 diff Wires = Many kinds of Tones.. = must Better than to play on ''Factory'' PUs, > how have Regular Windings =Regular Sounds, with nothing more.. > Let's try to Hear the Sound of ''Real'' pickups, like 1st 7ender from 1948 to end of 1964 (CBS was bying 7ender on January '65, & made Factory Pickups.. like Gibson & many 0thers..), - or 1st Paf Gibson: 1956 to 1959/'60.. > 1 or 2 years ago, I saw to Sell on E-Bay, a Gibson Paf from 1958: $3.000 (0nly 1, not the set of 2..). > ''Real'' pickups don't Sound the same, & so: don't get same prices.. > To Wind yourself is Cheapper, & you get really Better Sounds.. > Like to Do Anything Yourself.. Bye, & have nice Music, Bob Morane (France).

Members Bob Morane
Like shown on a picture: = The L-250 is a ''Stacked Pickup'' in Strato or Tele sizes.. - 2 Bobbins means: Humbucker.. But when an HB pickup, like the L-500 or his ''copy'' the Keystone MS-500 (made by William Lawrence) has his Bobbins turning from HB (Humbucker mode: the 2 Bobbins in function), > to SC mode (SC: Single Coil = 0nly 0ne Coil..), there's only 1Bobbin in function, from the 2. - It's so simple.. > An ''HB std pickup'', like Gibson Paf or L-500 get only 2 Bobbins, not 4 .. Members Bob Morane
> ''Vintage Bill Lawrence''.. - What is ''Vintage'' for you.? > Something Made ''When you was a Child'', or before your ''Nativity''.? > Real ''Vintage'' is before Modern Made : > For 7ender pickups, = It is from 1948 to the End of '64: > before CBS bought 7ender in January 1965, & Started to Make all the Pickups in Factory mode, = Wired on Automatic Machines, & with Less Turns of winding, > maybe to ''get back'" a part of the 6 Millions $ for bying 7ender.. -- '"Vintage'' is a Mode to do, not a ''date".. -- I don't See what is ''Vintage'' in the mode who was Bill Lawrence making Pickups: > In beginning of 1983: I've got an L6-S, all New, with all Mapple.. A really nice Guitar, playing well, > but I had to Change the 2 p.u: = too Modern Sound, & no as heavy.. > for 2 DiMarzio DP-100 Super Disto.. = Bigger & Fat Sound: a Really Rock sound !.. > With more Bass in Sound : - not a matter : There's a Bass Pot Tone on this Guitar which can put 0ff All the Bass if you want.. > I used this Guitar with the 2 DiMarzio > to Play APACHE from The Shadows, & got the Sound..
