Members Vespertine
So after giving it some serious thought, I've decided to mod my Jazzmaster. I absolutely love how this guitar feels and play, but the stock pickups are a little too bright for my liking. I tried switching the volume pots to 500's (the original ones where 1Meg:eek:) and while that helped smoothing out some of the extra high end, it didn't get me into the sonic territory I wanted. I just ordered a set of these - Jazzmaster
Members Mudder1310
I think those pickups will sound nice, but not like the original Fenders. The originals used a rare type of magnet that you just can't get anymore.

Members Deadbeat Son
Magnets are magnets. Their singular property is magnetic field strength. The original WR pickups used a threaded magnet as the pole piece; so do the Novaks.
