Members wetsponge007
I've heard nothing but good things about PRS, and have played a few SE's and one 513, and they felt great, solid, very comfortable, especially the wide thin neck. Then ESPs have felt great too, I really loike the thin U necks. The usa Jackson I played felt very solid and comfortable as well. The few Warriors(brand not jackson model)I have played felt great too, but so have the previous three I listed. So I was wondering what you guys think is the best bang for the buck, I plan on buying used, as I don't have tons of cash, but have thought about buying a new ESP, becuase it falls into my pricepoint, of $800-1300 I normally stay in Drop C tuning, but that can change sometimes. I noticed that PRS has different neck shapes, available for each model, I was looking at the custom 24s, what other PRSs should I look at? Out of these, which do you see being on the top for quality, resale value(just incase I sell later)? I've also played on 25.5" scale for awhile now, if I switch over to the 25" scale will I notice anything different?(I haven't been able to play a PRS in drop C, the strings are always to light to tune down)
Members Darkstorm
Of those Id go with Jackson or ESP ltd.
Members hellion_213
I'd go with ESP, Jackson, or BC Rich. F-Series ESPs are Killer, RR Jacksons are really good too, though a little lightweight, Beasts, Warlocks, and Mockingbirds are all pretty damn Killer as well. Never played a Warrior. EMGs are a really nice way to go, so are 24frets. Members wetsponge007
You lost me at Drop C Tuning. I like PRS(USA), USA Jacksons, and ESP(non LTD versions), and I like a smaller company called Warrior. I have played all of these guitars, and they all feel good, I am just wondering if it's hard to get used to the 25"PRS scale length, and also trying to find out what the best bang for the buck is? I am buying used with the exception of a couple ESPs that I can get new for great deals.

Members clay sails
PRS SE with a pickup upgrade will be a phenomenal guitar at a great price. The other options are solid, too, but they don't have wide/fat necks which (if you try) you will likely love.
Members Shenaniganizer
Jackson. If your price range is $800-$1300, you can get a brand new KV2T (string-thru model); all mahogany (if I'm not mistaken) and all awesome.
Members wetsponge007
A used Jackson does seem like the best option. Anyone like Parker guitars?
Members Vinchester
I thought all Jackson KV and RR are alder? well, I vote Jackson. Their MIJ mid-range products are very good. IMHO they offer better features and overall quality than ESP LTDs.
