Members gasolinefight
I wish I lived in the States so that I could just walk into a guitar center and buy this beauty. This is essentially the LP that i've been looking for for a while. According to the website, they're selling for 1399 http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Studio-60s.aspx

Members RaVenCAD
How is this extremely different than a typical Studio? Maybe the color, but otherwise............... ?
Members guitarman3001
How is this extremely different than a typical Studio? Maybe the color, but otherwise............... ? yeah, I like the color more than the regular burst finishes. gibson makes a couple of GC exclusives. The faded satin ebony studio was also a GC exclusive.
Members RaVenCAD
So is it just a finish option on a normal Studio?
Members Lump
it looks like a natural wood binding and no pickgaurd(or hole when it's removed). Two things that annoy me about regular pauls, nice!
Members kirs
So is it just a finish option on a normal Studio? No. Coil tapped with a Burstbucker Pro in the bridge. Essentially the Studio version of the Les Paul Traditional Pro.

Members Marc G
really good looking guitar.... not sure if I'm keen on the 60s neck though... I like the chunky 50s neck more....
Members Sharkfin
Great color. Designed to fit the middle of the road Gibson between the Studios and Standards I take it?
Members yell03
If I am reading correctly this is Weight relieved, not chambered. This is basically a Traditional Pro with different pick-ups and without locking tuners for $500 less. Sounds like a really nice guitar.
Members RaVenCAD
If I am reading correctly this is Weight relieved, not chambered. So if I record a clip with each, you can tell me which is which... Right?
Members yell03
So if I record a clip with each, you can tell me which is which... Right? I don't know about that? I did have a Chambered Classic Antique and a Weight Relieved Traditonal Plus at the same time, both with a 57 classic in the neck and a 57 classic plus in the bridge. I could tell the difference in tone between those two. Both sounded really good, the Classic Antique had a more woody airy sound, the Trad Plus had a heavier thicker, more aggressive tone with more sustain. Both were nice. It depends on which you prefer, a lighter or heavier guitar.
Members joseflovesyou
Gibson in general is almost Guitar Center exclusive now anyway.
