Members tkozuch
After spending a long hard day at work, my Carvin was finally waiting for me when I got home. I can't even believe it. I only plugged it in for 5 minutes, but my god, it's so amazing. Everything about it is unreal. The quality is better than I even thought possible. It's a satin finish CT3, natural mahogany with black burst edges. M22 and C22 pickups, sperzels, strap locks and jumbo STAINLESS STEEL frets. Plays like a dream. Pickups are great. Finish is amazing. Seriously, best guitar I've ever touched, Including ANY PRS and both my Gibsons. Here is some porn and a video clip. Warning on the video, my tone SUCKS. I just can't get a good recorded tone outta my PODxt. I guess I'll just mic up my Krank in the future. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pc3qkK1Yw_I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pc3qkK1Yw_I

Members tkozuch
Thanks peeps. I honestly had no idea how it would turn out. I just didn't select a paint option for the body, then selected blackburst edges and a satin matte finish. I couldn't be happier with how it came out. Members Sharkfin
Nice guitar, but clean your wall. I'm sure a few hotdogs and hamburgers could mop that stuff right up.
Members MichaelSaulnier
Very cool guitar! As far as recording tips... here's a couple of things I would suggest. Less "gain". It's counter intuitive, but less gain, especially with a POD type tool will actually record more realistically. On your vid, you've got a world of fizzy tone on many of the settings. I've found with POD recordings the speaker selection really changes the tone and so you should experiment, and not always use the "default" speaker. Everyone likes different things, but I prefer Vintage 30 4x12 speaker for heavier tones. Another tip I learned a while back on the PODxt is to use the built in eq to roll off the tone at 8.2k... I drop it as much as 8db, and it's amazing how much "fizz" goes away. Good luck trying these tips... and have fun with your great new Carvin! Members Unclemeat
There have been a lot of new Carvin days lately. I like it. Also with the POD. It almost sounds like your speaker simulation is turned off. I had a horrible time once with the POD... It sounded good the day before, then when I returned the next day it sounded horribly shrill piercing awful... It turned out that it was set to be sent through thr front of a combo amp instead of direct to a PA or recording unit. It had essentially turned off the speaker simulation. Check the AIR settings.
