Members entko
I was wondering what are some of the better guitar stands you guys have had experience with? Never bought one, so I'm not sure if i should be picky or just grab a random cheap one.
Members RaVenCAD
Cheap is fine if you don't care about your guitar's safety.. I do, so I choose Hercules.
Members cephus
I have a couple of these and I think they are great. they don't tip over and don't take up that much room. They are a little heavier than the cheapies. The double is really cool. I thought they were discontinued for a while. http://www.samash.com/p/GS7462DB%20Pro%20Double%20A%20Frame%20Guitar%20Stand_-49997110

Members MichaelSaulnier
After many years... I've come to decide that these type make the most sense... especially if you're going to have several guitars out to play at once. This pic is of a 5 guitar one, they also make up to a 7 guitar stand. I have a 7 in my music room, (which can really hold 9 if you're careful), and a 5 that I fold up and use for live playing... usually only holding 3 guitars. Whatever you pick, get ones with the black foam padding versus the yellowish rubber... if you have any nitro finished guitars, the rubber will cause them to blemish... Members entko
Which of these 3 do you recommend since they are all the same price? http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Hercules-Stands-Single-Guitar-Stand-with-SFF-on-Legs?sku=453080 http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Hercules-Stands-Single-Guitar-Stand-with-Folding-Yoke?sku=453081 http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Hercules-Stands-GS402B-Mini-Electric-Guitar-and-Bass-Guitar-Stand?sku=453079 Also, what is the difference between the first two? Members RaVenCAD
They seem to be the same, cept for the item number. Either of those would be my choice. I don't trust the stands like that last one. I know some people love em, but I won't use a stand that has nothing supporting the neck.
Members Belva
I'm having good luck with the el cheapo Fender folding stands. But the Herc looks better. In my case none of the band members drink during gigs. That seems to keep things from falling over. Especially band members!! Go figure.
Members knockwood
I ordered one of these a few weeks ago from MF: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ultimate-GS200-Genesis-Guitar-Stand?sku=450718 This stand is a lot of fun because it is out of stock and each day MF moves the ETA out by a day and oh how I laugh and laugh. Members johanneswiberg
Used properly, there's nothing wrong with something like this: ...unless you're usually drunk and/or have butterfingers.
Members Portland1
Got one of these a few years ago. Great stand. When you put the guitar in the stand, the two flippers shut and lock it in. +1 for the mini stand too.
