Members fuzztone
This is Fender FSR American Roadhouse Strat in Red Sparkle finish with matching headstock that was made for Mars Music in 2000,they made only 50 or 100 of these according to different stores I have heard. It really looks much better in person than the photo I took. It is priced at $1500 at my local store. It is on consignment so they can't change the price till the owner says so. What do you guys think it is worth? It is in dead mint condition. I'd buy it if it was $1000.

Members Eddie
Not for me. Also, being 1 of 50 or 100 to me is irrelevant. I returned a guitar that was 1 of 36 made, and did not like it. List price was $1600 and I told the store that it felt like a $400 guitar. After I returned it, they sold it for $399 For $399 I would have kept it. Instead the store lost a customer.
Members fuzztone
It's worth $1000 to me.A new Strat cost about $1000 and I can't buy one in Red Sparkle finish unless you buy a Custom shop model which cost alot more than $1000. This one $5200 at The Music Zoo.

Members deadllama
Isn't that particular pearloid-y stuff called "Mother of Toilet Seat"? I always thought that was great.

Members BG76
no way. I have a Roadhouse Strat and it's nice. If a color is worth paying that much of a premium go for it, but I would pass.
Members Brian May
How much would that have been brand new? Seems ok to me for a USA Strat?
Members MorganB
1K is a good Buy, In Sparkles They are coming out with 2 FSR in Orange and Rootbeer for around 600 ( Mexicans) and are back ordered on a Silver FSR Squier (200) But the USA's are over 2K (I guess the Sparkles they put on one by one in America)http://www.flickr.com/photos/26758067@N08/4329202850/
Members metallica_00
That seems pretty expensive for what is essentially just a used MIA Strat. I do agree with you on used gear there...so many people out there are flipping nice guitars in great condition because they're GASing for something else. I find it hard to justify buying a new product anymore.
Members Mister Crow
If it's something you really want, at a price that you can afford and think is fair, then go for it. Probably would be hard to find another in such good condition, plus you get to try it out first. Give it a good play first to be sure it's a good instrument on it's own. I don't think I would want a guitar for $1000 that looks cool but sounds and plays like a dog.
Members stevieb
If that thing's worth a grand, I am tempted to start making knock-off's... Look for my stuff in the "counterfeit" forum...
Members Artslinger
Yes it is.Too bad they won't sell it to me for $1000. Really? I would think that sparkly Strat would be hard to sell. Maybe if you ditched that pearloid guard it would look better.
Members etawful
I'd be more inclined to see if I could get Warmoth, USCG or someone similar to make a red sparkle body for me and go from there.
