Members bluesbox101
i walked into a pawn shop the other day and saw this beautiful hanging on the wall. I picked it up strummed on it and was surprised when the price tag was only 139.99 this isnt the exact guitar but it is the same model. i was looking on ebay and saw that they were selling for 600+... so my question is should i keep it or sell the sucker? Members sc4589
Flip it. I'm in the same boat as you with another excellent old-skool guitar!

Members deadwax
At that price buy before it gets away. Then decide what to do with it later. They use to go for some decent coin on Ebay.
Members aclarke
Keep, then flip. First, because they're fun guitars, with a very unique and usable sound. Second, because the market for old silvertones is in the dumps right now. Buyer's market - which is why you got it for that price.
Members jpnyc
Agreed on keeping to flip later. Right now people hard up for cash are dumping every vintage guitar in North America. You

Members clay sails
Buy. Sell on ebay. Spend profit on a reissue of a vintage guitar.

Members fretmonster
That thing has mojo most modern guitars can only dream about. If it sounds as good as I think it does (past experience), I'd only sell that in an emergency.

Members guitarcapo
I bought THIS one for $330. I carved a new bridge for it, but never could bond to it... so I sold it on Ebay for $740. I didn't like the scale length. It felt like a toy in my hands. Sounded good, though. So in my experience...yea, flip....that pawn shop was stupid.
Members elvisart
Keep it for a while, then decide if you want to sell it. I used to have one of those, and it's got a big fat neck on it, which I don't like, but the pickups sound pretty good. If it were me, I'd resto-mod it. Put on some good tuners, a TOM bridge, a Bigsby and rock out!
