Members Quarter
Thanks Noobie and Elias that quilt is just SICK looking It is a nice chunk of wood and was not cheap. That billet was big enough for a bunch of one piece "normal" guitar tops ... but where is the fun in that
Members Quarter
Mother of pearl is hard to get a good pic of, but here is a closeup of the logo anyways. .

Members Quarter
Thanks Bryan! ... I am happy with how the knobs worked out too. Being that the pups are nickel covered, I think they help bring a nice overall balance to look / feel. The pearl dots and contrasting line / marker give them just enough definition so as to make rosewood on rosewood work. And yes, I spend way too much time fretting over the little details. Here is another shot of the knobs, you can just barely make out the shallow countersink in the plate for the V and T. .

Members Quarter
Thanks nuke, RickBeall, and TimK ... I love that countersinking...shows how much you care ... Small details can add a lot to a build. The down side is they can cumulatively add a lot of time to a build too. Thankfully I build them because I like to, not because I have to. I just hope that 100 years from now my steels will still be kicking and bringing their owners as much joy as I had bringing them to life.
