Members metal0822
Well just like the title says. I have had these guitars for a while, and while I wasn't sure about it at first, I kinda like the idea of being able to wear through the finish quickly. So if you have a gibson faded or highway 1 and have worn through the finish anywhere, put up some pics, and say how long it took to get there. Also, if you tend to sweat a lot, or if you mostly play gigging or just at home, etc. Thanks.
Members sxyryan
Took about a year to get to this point. After that I started buying more guitars so play time is dispersed among a few guits Those were taken about 6 or 7 months ago, so it's a bit farther along now. Members sxyryan
Oh, and I gig (not too often, maybe 4-5 times a year), and have played it for all but one of my gigs. But mostly I play at home
Members metal0822
thats pretty much the situation i am in ryan. and i take great care of my gear and plan to not get too many dings or scratches. but these finishes should just wear off with normal use/playing. I know there are more on the forums, with their guitars being way more along than any of mine. If you like the worn in look, like I do, the Faded Gibsons are the best way to go. Members Prages
If the faded Gibsons only had grain filler, I might like them more. Without the grain filler, I just don't like the feel of them.
