Stupid bandmates: a chronicle of the last show I played

I have learned over time from costly and bad experiences that you...

1) Never loan anything out, as the other person will not appreciate it and not care for it as you would.

2) Never leave your personal gear in another person's care, van, home, whatever...especially your guitars, and tube amps!

This.

I would clarify it a little further

1) ... that you can't live with never having back, whether it be $100 or a piece of musical equipment.

2) ... unless you really, really, really, really, really, really trust them, and it doesn't violate rule #1.

My gigging guitars (other than my acoustics)stay in the gig truck year 'round. Usually have to just mess with them a couple times a year. (when the warmer, humid air shows up, and when it heads out) that said, if they promised to take the guitars inside, they should have done so.
