Members steve_man
So, I've always been a fan of Oasis, and Noel Gallagher. I really wanted one of the Epi Supernovas (his signature 335-style guitar) when they were out a few years ago. Looked at one of the Union Jack models in Nashville that was on clearance for like $500...didn't buy it...doh! Those things now go for $1200 or higher. Anyways, the one I want is the Manchester Blue, and it looks like this: I have a chance to buy one for about $700 with upgraded pups and a case. It's in mint condition...and now I'm really on the fence. I mean, I'm happy with my Dot Deluxe, but I'd easily trade it for one of these. I like the neck inlays, the color, and really like having the switch up top...hmm...

Members clay sails
Typically I don't care much for semi-hollows, but that is pretty damn nice.
Members steve_man
It has Seymour Duncans in it...SD-4 Jazz in the neck...I think, and an Alnico 5 in the bridge...can't remember the number. It's on evilbay right now, so I'm sure it'll go higher than I can spend. I really want it, but would have to just put it on the plastic right this moment... If it were here in town, I would probably already own it... But I sure am gonna check it before it ends tonight... Who knows?

Members sdgails
The blue is actually metallic in person. One of the nicest looking guitars. These guitars have skyrocketed

I thought those came originally with Gibson 57 Classics. Anyway, the Manchester Blue NG edition is a beautiful guitar. I thought about buying one back a couple or three years ago when the prices were still within reason. They have gotten expensive now. If you can get a deal on it, "Do It!" Too bad you couldn't get this one Steve, I hope anoher one comes along soon.I thought you had ordered a couple of semis in the past and had to return them until you got a good one. Must have been someone else.
Members Preacher
Are Oasis big your side of the pond? In my experience not nearly as big as over there. I personally love em and think Noel is a fantastic pop songwriter but it seems like a lot of guitar players here aren't big fans. That said, dependng on your audience and region you could probably play a decent Wonderwall or Champagne Supernova, or to a lesser extent, Live Forever or Don't Look Back in Anger, to a good reception. Well, the first semi I bought was from Musician's Friend, and it had some issues so I sent it back. Other than that, no worries...
Members steve_man
Keep an eye out for another one! great looking guitars, and meant to be good players as well, though never found one to try myself. Are Oasis big your side of the pond? Yeah, I'll find one eventually. This one was just in really great condition and had a nice case. Went for $710 shipped, which isn't a bad price. I'll find one eventually. Crazy thing is that my wife was okay with me getting it...oh well. I think Oasis was a lot bigger here back in the 90's, but were never as big as they seem to be in the UK and Europe. I've always liked their music, and the way they can just stand still on stage and bring the rock. Don't see them jumping all over the place. I really enjoy their style, and Noel's guitar playing. Just got his live album a few weeks ago, and it's really good. Would love to see them live.
