Members guitarman3001 Posted March 4, 2010 Members Share Posted March 4, 2010 Finally put an end to my neurotic indecisiveness and picked up a couple of mesa 1x12 cabs. Both are convertible so I set one up as open-back and the other closed. Got the pair for 300 bucks. Here they are in all their glory and in all of the configurations they're likely to see. They sound surprisingly good. The closed one has kick ass low end response and the open one sounds very bright and nice midrange. Together they sound great. I'll most likely be using the closed one with the bugera v22 and with the palomino head I'll use both of them so I have the mix of open and closed back tones. Unfortunately none of the places we play have a stage big enough for that. And I don't think I could fit it all in my car anyway. I think the Bugera with the extra closed-back Mesa would be a pretty killer combo. yep, the V22 + one mesa cab is how I'm going to be using it tonight. will probably take tonight's gig money and invest it into a weber zmatcher so I can mix and match all of my cabs however I feel like without worrying about ohms.
