Members D-ray2010
I have a 1982 Walnut strat . . bought it new in about 1983. Shortly after I bought it I had a Khaler tremelo installed. I had it refretted (medium frets) 5 years ago and the neck radius increased (12') so it is light touch and plays very well. I dont play it much anymore and am thinking of selling but not sure what price to ask. It comes with the original tweed case. I kept good care of it but it has a few dings (nothing major). I've seen some pretty high prices for Walnut Strats out there but given the guitar is no longer "original", how much should I ask?
Members Furtive
Refret is no big deal, but those other two mods are major. I'd take the price of a nice one, and reduce it by 50%. Sorry.
Members D-ray2010
Ouch - what would a nice one go for?
Members megawzrd
My 2009 price guide reference shows ~$1850. But yeah furtive is probably right, the khaler and the radius mods kill it. I wouldn't hope for more than a grand.
Members Furtive
Ouch - what would a nice one go for? No idea. I'd save a search for it in ebay, and check every day until you see a few sell to get an idea of what they go for to determine the most realistic value.
