I like the 4-disc Rhino compilation Rockin' Bones: 1950s Punk and Rockabilly.

 

Also I'd recommend getting a good Gene Vincent compilation like The Screaming End. Cliff Gallup, his guitar player on his first sessions, will always be number one for me.

Also, at the risk of stating the obvious, youtube is a good place to look for lessons.

 

This guy

 

 

 

has a whole series of rockabilly lessons, and he presents some good basic ideas pretty well.

i just got this new cd by this chick who i saw singing on the grammys with jeff beck and shes awesome rockabilly/jazz/blues vibe great voice ,fantastic music .and badass stand up bass player .her name is IMELDA MAY shes irish or scottish. it's very cool i love it!! :thu:
