I wouldn't expect a quality speaker cable for $3.00 though.exactly! it would be thin cable and junky, possibly even molded ends. Certainly no Switchcraft, Neutrik, or G&H brands anywhere. I'm going to assume that most of the silver colored wire is an alloy containing aluminum. Silver would be too expensive for these kind of applications.
