Members Sheik Yerbouti
People have been messing with wiring schemes for the strat forever, but what have you guys tried and personally liked?
Members FXR
I am currently wired for one tone control to the neck and middle and the other dedicated to the bridge. I also have the Treble Bleed Mod in parallel. http://www.projectguitar.com/tut/potm.htm I don't believe I will be changing it any time soon. It's working very well for me. Members rokn4jc
I don't have a Strat per se, but it is very strat like (Peavey Impact 1). It has a HSS pu config w/ mini toggles for each on/off for the singles and Tap/Off/HB for the HB. I really like that as I can easily dial in most tones I wouls want. Thinking about doing a series/paralell option, and maybe a phase switch. N+B in series, out of phase is a cool and sometimes usefull combo. IMO, adding a series option to a strat really gives it a wider range of tones. Of course, you must move the second tone to the bridge pu (imo) . Members 55gibby
1 volume, 1 tone and a blender for the middle pup.
Members EJD
For my current project, I'm trying master volume and master tone, which has a number of advantages. Might go tri-toggle as well for the pup switching, but I'm not sure as of yet.
Members inkblot
Right now my strat is SSS with a switch for each pickup, neck tone w/ 22pF cap and bridge tone with 47pF cap. I'm happy with that wiring, but I think I'll put a single sized HB in the bridge some day when I feel like it. The neck + bridge is a nice pickup combo IMO
Members EJD
The neck + bridge is a nice pickup combo IMOHow does it sound compared to the five standard positions? And how do all three of them sound together?
Members Alex_SF
Deaf Eddie Fat-O-Caster Memphis switch in place of one tone knob; other knob converted to master tone. Also handy is a 3-way mini-toggle wired as kill / normal / volume & tone bypass. On the other hand, I never use the push-pull middle pickup phase switch. Members bsman
Favorite Strat wiring scheme "I like your strat and want to buy it. I will wire you a cashier's check for $10,000. Cash it, and my agent will come to your house, pick up the goods, and the extra funds, less your 10% commission."

Members wagdog
Master vol, master tone. Bridge on in-series switch (push/pull). I've tried a blender for the neck/bridge - it was neat, but I found I never used it when gigging. Bridge/middle in series is useful for a humbucker like sound/tone from a SSS strat. Members docjeffrey
S-S-S with global volume and global tone. Then you add in a blender pot so the settings are:1) Bridge with ability to blend in the neck2) Bridge and middle with ability to blend in the neck3) Middle4) Neck and middle with ability to blend in the bridge5) Neck with ability to blend in the bridgeThese are all in parallel, IIRC, but there is some interesting phase canceling when you blend in various combinations of pickups.
