Members Bbreaker
I've sold/traded off some cool guitars only acquire some cool guitars (I think). Over the past 2 years........ Gone: Peavey EVH Special; EVH Standard; '06 Gibson SG Std; '03 Gibson Melody maker; Gibson Tony Iommi SG; '91 Lt Ed. SG Junior; '56 Gibson BR9 Lap Steel; '97 Fender Am Std Strat (Daphne Blue); '95 Fender Am Srd Strat (Lake Placid Blue); '97 Amd Std Strat (Inca Silver)'74 Fender Strat (Black); '74 Fender Tele (White); Gretsch 5129; Modulus Quamtum 4 5 A Quilt bass; Agile AL 2000 w/"Floyd" Lic. Trem; Godin Raditor; BC Rich Employee Guitar; Tiesco Lap Steel; '1938 Rickenbacker Model 59 Lap Steel and a Fender Custon VibroLux Reverb Amp. I did use about $3500.00 from gear sales to pay some bills. In: PRS SC 250; PRS Std 22 Singlecut Trem; PRS Mira; PRS CE Employee Guitar; PRS CE 24 (Sched del. 3/22); James Trussart SteelPhonic; James Trussart Steel DeVille; Unk Standard; 1986 Rickenbacker 360/12; '04 Rickenbacker 370; '06 Gibson SG Standard (Very Orange Heritage Cherry); 4 Recording King Cowboy Parlour-3/4 Size Guitars; Melancon P 90 Artist and an MI Crunch Box. Dollar for dollar, I think it's a wash. Anyway, I'm using the stuff I acquired more than the gear that went out. It's a sickness.

Members PancakeBunny
I'm awesome at this. I paid $350 for the amp in this pic: Through a series of trades I was able to end up with this guitar without spending any extra money out of pocket. $350 -> Traynor YGL3 Mark III -> 1979 Princeton Reverb -> $800 -> Fender Super Reverb (1969) -> $850 -> Fender Deluxe (1965 Blackface Non-Reverb) -> Rickenbacker 660 -> $1500 -> Taylor GS5e | STOP | I followed a similar path to end up with my Swan. Members Bbreaker
I've trimmed my LP;SG;Strat:Tele inventory and went boutique with some replacements.I've wanted a James Trussart in the worst way but found that, even used, I'd have to sell/trade at least 2 good valuable guitars to get one.I traded for my JT Steel DeVille but I bought my JT SteelPhonic. I lucked out by finding a used SteelPhonic w/ a optional gator top and bound neck for $2400.00. Still a lot of dough but I think I've cured my Trussart GAS. With most boutique gear, I find it's best to buy used.
