Members I.P. Freeley
Is $800 a good price for a 2003 American Telecaster?
Members I.P. Freeley
It's been modded with a Callaham bridge and Nocaster pickups.
Members twotimingpete
I'd offer $
Members photon9
A little high. Not terrible though if it's in mint condition. The upgrades shouldn't make a difference on the price, unless he's going to include the original parts as well.
Members I.P. Freeley
I did offer $600 and they declined. It says it's got no cracks or dings and it comes with the hardshell case.
Members bsman
What are they asking for it?
Members I.P. Freeley
$750 + $50 shipping.
Members Superrust
$700 is what I usually see but with the upgrades I would say its a fair deal. See if you can get the original parts as that would be good for re-sell if needed.
Members bsman
Considering you can buy a brand new American standard tele for about $1050, his price (around 30% off new) seems high to me for a seven yo guitar. However, it does seem within line with what I see around here on CL -- where most folks tend to post slightly- to laughably-unrealistic prices. His mods add nothing to the value (regardless of what he might think), and I'd probably move along unless there's something about that particular one that really calls to you. Members sdgails
too high.
Members Selsaral
Too high IMHO. If it was mint with zero fret wear, exactly the color I wanted, and I trusted the seller completely, I might consider it.
Members I.P. Freeley
Right on. I just ordered a Carvin Bolt kit with a hardtail, SS frets and 10" radius anyway.

Members Angry Tele
yes buy it...the pickups are worth $100, and the bridge $100 and both are in fact "upgrades"

Members jhorne
Is $800 a good price for a 2003 American Telecaster? You should be able to get a new one for close to that with a little haggling...
