Members scolfax
I stumbled across this article:http://www.gear-vault.com/xaviere-guitars-are-junk/ I thought it was ridiculous, so posted a comment at the bottom. Was my comment at the bottom of the article out of line? I was pretty surprised by the negative reactions I got.
Members Grantus
That article was full of cheap shots.
Members smorgdonkey
I don't think what you said was out of line. I'd say that you were dead-on actually. I do hate their pickups though.
Members megawzrd
At first glance the article looks to me like a troll from a Rondomusic fanboy. He disqualified his article right off the bat saying that he hasn't had a hands on experience with any Xaviere guitar and then goes on to say according to carvin message boards this guitar is made in china. He is admitting hearsay all over the place. What a horrible article...actually quite funny though. I have never tried a Xaviere guitar myself, but I sure as hell will say clear of the gear-vault website.

Members BoneNut
It's not a "stupid" because it's opposed to the opinion of most share here about GFS. It's completely ridiculous because everything they stated was based on hear say. I don't see how any professional reviewer or site can publish an opinion without actually using the product... hands on ya know? Even though I'm definitely not a GFS fanboy, the Gear Vault site has just made my "Web sites that are full of {censored}" list. And no Scolfox, your comment was not out of line. Members _pete_
Ok, I have never touched a Xaviere guitar. Ever.I've purchased from GFS and gotten some good stuff, some mediocre stuff, and some stuff I didn't like. Same as anywhere else. With that out of the way, I agree 1000% with what you posted. That's incredibly irresponsible journalism. How can anyone claim to be exposing the "truth" when they have never touched or seen the product in question? They base their "truth" on the hearsay from a couple random forum posts??? That's insane. I'm not a GFS fanboy by any stretch but that "article" is beyond amateur. If the writer worked for me he would have been fired. Jeez, I suppose I'll go do some reviews on the newest Lamborghini's that I've never seen. Let me see what the Ferrari forum has to say about them. Members Grantus
Anybody else find it completely ridiculous they expect to be sent a free guitar to be reviewed? Well, I think some legitimate magazines and web sites do get guitars lent to them for review. But I'm not sure this site counts as legit.

Members Rex Machete
Don't judge a company if you never played one of their axes. That's a pretty simple ground rule to follow. If some fanboy in the comment section disagrees, then they aren't worth listening to
Members tiltsta
Wow. So the negative reviews are to be believed as truth, but the positive comments are manipulated. Seems like a fair review. Of course, they never actually held a guitar, instead going by internet message posts. I'm not a big fan of Xaviere guitars, as the one example I played was not a very good guitar (in my opinion, of course), but that review article was completely unfair.
