Members figero
hi folks, i have a 1993 special edition strat, which i purchased new in june 93. this was a limited run of i believe 200, and the spec is as follows. colour vanilla, 24 ct gold plated hardware, maple neck, custom wound texas specials; and the guitar was finished at the custom shop. i dont actually know what part was finished at the custom shop, but thats what the card says that was hanging around the neck! the sustain is awsome and so are the looks. i paid
Members jtr654
With that system you should be able to do all the sounds you want you just have to work with it. Go to EMG.com they will have all the info you'll need.
Members MichaelSaulnier
The other guitarist in my band just got a strat with that set up pups installed. NO PROBLEM WITH GREAT CLEANS AND CREAMY OVERDRIVE. Your hands may vary. Honestly, it's the best sound he's every had! M
Members figero
thanks guys for the reply, i am waiting for delivery of a pod x3 live, so will see how the texas specials sound through that before i decide, but again i am assuming that emgs and a modeller such as the x3 live, WOULD GO hand in hand with each other, any thoughts on that one
