Members lucas_guitar
I have a Jackson RR3 that came with a licensed Lo-Pro FR. Would it be a good idea to replace it with an Original Lo-Pro FR? Would I need to take it to a luthier or would I be able to do it myself without doing any mutilation to the guitar? Members Mustaine-who?
It will drop right in...as will a Schaller Jackson Floyd or Ping or Gotoh. Same spacing...
Members lucas_guitar
Have you ever had any experience doing this? Because I've heard from other people that trying to do it by yourself could damage the guitar. I thought the spacing would be the same, too, because the Jackson FR looks exactly like an OFR. But I'm just making sure because I don't want to do anything that'll permanently damage my guitar, or spend money on a FR that won't fit in my guitar. Let's say I can't install the FR on my own, do you know how much a luthier would charge?
