Members nuke_diver
I'm going to bring in my strat this weekend for a likely refret (yes I know it's MIM but I love the neck on it). The luthier I've been discussing it with has not recommended SS for single coils saying he does most of his happy SS fret customers are HB guitars and most of his unhappy ones are SC. He is saying he doesn't care one way or the other but just wants the customer to be happy with the results. So for you guys that love SS frets how many love them on SC and was it a noticable difference when you switched? Thanks guys and gals
Members billybilly
There better, way better. For feel, durability and sound is negligible, if at all. I would never get another guitar without SS frets. The End. I reckon 95% of the forumites would agree with me too.
