Members conman02
OKAY! SO, I would like to know what you guys think about the LTD EC-1000FR. Hear are the specs: * Set Neck * 24-3/4" Scale * Mahogany Body * Flamed Maple Top * Mahogany Neck * Rosewood Fingerboard * 1.65" (42mm) Nut Width * Thin U Neck Contour * 24 Extra Jumbo Frets * Black Nickel Hardware * ESP Tuners * Floyd Rose 1000 Series Locking Tremolo Bridge & Tailpiece * EMG 81 (B) / 60 (N) Active Pick Up * Controls: vol/vol/tone, 3-way Toggle Pickup Selector[/size] I have been hearing that these guitars are top notch for the price (btw the prise is $900). Some people have even said they are better than Gibsons but that obviusly your opinion. People believe that they are better because they are made in the USA, But can you guys please give me your opinions of this guitar! Thanks! Members ColoradoFenderB
LTDs are certainly nice guitars. That one isn't to my taste though. Too much inlay work, binding, etc. And, I don't really like active pickups. If that is your style and you like actives - it is a good choice. If I were going to buy an LTD, I would get the EC-401VF. A little less bling, but classicly beautiful (to me). It also has a Seymour Duncan pickup set - JB/59s! It's also cheaper - $629.
Members smorgdonkey
I don't go for the Floyd Rose on a Les Paul style guitar. I'm pretty open-minded but not when it comes to that.
