Members doc oc
Getting a little pricey though. It was a good deal when I first looked. Sorry.
Members shaun126
It is an average sounding amp, at best. Pretty decent cleans...virtually no breakup. Sold mine about a year ago locally for $400 cash.
Members doc oc
I had one too and my only beef with it was the speaker. It sounded great with bass and with guitar, but guitar had to go through a palmer direct box to really impress. When I did that, it sounded just like a deluxe to me. I'm not very up on what an old deluxe sounds like though. I have only spent meaningful time with reissues.

Members doc oc
As I said, it's not mine. Mine is for sale here in Winston Salem, NC. You are welcome to check out my craigslist posting. Here it is:http://winstonsalem.craigslist.org/msg/1674768807.html doc oc is a spiderman reference. Not sure what the relationship to florida is with "oc". I was checking this one out on the bay trying to figure out how to price mine because I'm really not sure. I had hoped by sparking a discussion on here that I would get an idea of what to sell mine for. I didn't mean to be underhanded in any way. I don't appreciate the distrust, all the same, I can see where you would get that.
Members Johnny Z
My brother-law has one, nice little amp. I tried to trade him out of it but he's not willing to trade it for anything.
Members doc oc
Seriously though, does $400 sound like a fair price to ask? I have had a couple of replies to my craigslist post and neither of them knew what to offer. I am not sure what to ask for it either. I don't want to hose anyone or get hosed, I just want to sell it at a fair price before leaving. I'm also really not interested in shipping a freaking bass amp. That's cool, I don't like calling people out because you can be mistaken at times and in this case I was. It's nothing personal, but at least you understood how suspicious it did look. Members Mister Crow
I had one of those, sold it about 3 years ago for $200, and it didn't go quickly. I thought it was pretty un-inspiring, otherwise I would have kept it. Personally, I wouldn't pay more than $200 now. Can't say I was a fan. Sold mine about a year ago locally for $400 cash. What kind of layout is in that amp, tube-wise? EDIT: Found it. http://www.ampwares.com/schematics/bassman20.pdf It looks something like a Princeton, except with a solid-state rectifier. Just guessing, but I'd venture that the speaker is the weak link in those amps.
