Members maltomario
yes, nicotine/chemicals in cigarette smoke actually corrodes metal over time. So electronics could get affected inside your guitar. this is why you generally never want to purchase an electronic gizmo from a smoker besides that, the smell will also permeate many surfaces and you will have a hard time getting the funky smell out. I emailed the guy about the guitar and guitar case completely reeking. He emails me back claiming he is a smoker but he "only smokes outside" but happened to be smoking a cigarette while he packed the guitar. "Yeah OK" (Sarcasm)
Members vgera
I've owned 2 Epiphones. Here is the Epiphone Korina V that I owned for 2 months when I was in college. I own the guitar below, which I got for free. Bbreaker gave it a "1" on a scale of 1 to 10. I bought a strat on eBay a few years ago. I took the case out of the box, opened the case and my entire living room smelled like a bowling alley. I closed the case and sent the guitar right back. .. good point... I will put more atention on that next time i buy used..

Members Ralph onion
No I am saying my left ankle is swollen so I have to put Ezra back in the closet. Slash? Saul? If he did quit smoking good for him. Maybe his multiple drug addictions will get him thru the nicotine withdrawal. Did I mis speell that word? Think I will light up. You are correct about the smell and the corrosiveness of the smoke. The problem with a smoke filled environment is there are more dirt particles in the air. Amps or other electrical equipment tubes particularly as it relates to here. The electric stuff inside puts out an electo-magnetic field and attracts these particles. Over time causing heat induced failure on the components
