Members Quarter
Yea, it looks better than I thought it might, but I'm not quite sold on it. This afternoon I had a chance to hit the metal yard and pick up some stuff to play with, some misc stainless, aluminum, and brass. I'm also still considering making a wraparound work. I can re-cut the saddles and level the radius. With no fretboard and no neck angle, and even with a steels high action, I might have to recess the studs a bit. Members Quarter
That is actually the second cover I made for it. The first one had some very cool grain in it, but turned out too dark once wet.

Members Quarter
Got a little bit more done ... this day job thing is cutting into my fun time Going to give one of the BG Pups S90's a try first. If I decide on a HB later, I can always reroute as the HB route will cover the single route. Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to do with control routing.Right now I'm leaning towards a rear route with mahogany knobs..
Members Quarter
To hold the cover in place, I'm going to use two dowel pins up front with a threaded knob in the tail to hold it down. Here is some pics of a cool little tool to transfer center marks, a dowel center set.You drill the dowel holes in one piece, then put the center set into the hole, the sharp point locates the center on the receiving piece.. AJC will always be the King Yea, really looking forward to checking out the S90. If it works out well, I'm considering adding a second reverse wound S90 just slightly in front of it wired through a blend pot, kinda like the old Fender String Masters were setup. He's an "Artiste"! The cover does help bring it together, almost like a hood scoop on a muscle car Unfortunately, I didn't take much of any pics of its build process, but here is a pic of the bookmatched blank I cut it from .
