I just sold this on TGP:

That's my '68 YBA1a Bassmaster Mark II I bought for $350. It's seem better days cosmetically but boy does it ever sound good. So why did I just sell it on TGP for $350?

Because I'm about to buy this for $500.

Did I do gud?

Same year. Except this is a YBA1 and not a YBA1a.

Wow, neither amp has its original knobs, what's up with that? While it's not totally strange them swapped on an old Traynor or other "former bargain" amp, most I see still have the originals, and yet you ended up with two that did not. What coincidence. Though you new one is an easy fix, that era used black chicken head knobs.

Great amps. The YBA-1A was too much for me, super loud, super bright and super tight. I thought of it as the poor-man's Hiwatt, and I'm no Hiwatt fan. The YBA-1 would probably be more my speed.
