Members MichaelSaulnier
My main amp is a Mesa F-50... and it's so nice, it's rare that I would choose to use anything else... But microphonic tubes made me use my Mark I CyberTwin in a pinch for a live show last weekend... and I was quite impressed! I mainly used it as a "base tone" for my pedal board... just like I do the Mesa... but it worked out very well. Anyone else got a CyberTwin... and are you using it in live gigs? Members D Carroll
My guitarist has one, great amp. He put 2 redcoats in it, and it really improved the bass response of the amp.

Members richey888
Band Kamp's (my cover band) other guitarist plays thru one. I love it! He has the 4-button controller and gets everything needed for a mixed bag of cover tunes. Awesome!

Members poolshark
I had a buddy in college who used a Cyber Twin. I scoffed at first, then being an ill-informed tube snob, but eventually saw some pretty good tones out of the thing. More importantly, the Cyber Twin saw more live use than any of my amps at the time, and the audience never seemed to mind.

THats really the truth of the matter- we're the dorks making the mental catalog of the tonal variance of chinese vs russian tubes from 1987 in an original handwired chassis vs the second generation PCB etc, etc - the audience doesn't give a rat's butt as long as they are having a good time
Members scolfax
I had a Cyber Deluxe that I never took out of the house. I sold it, and now think that I probably didn't give it the credit it deserved.
Members jtr654
I've only jammed with a guy that had one and wasn't impressed. He used way to many FXs so his sound was washed out.
Members cratz2
It's definitely not the amp for me, but I've played two of them... one for a couple hours over two different days. I was almost convinced to buy one as I didn't own a 2x12, but I ended up getting a good deal on a Twin II. If that hadn't come along, I would have either got the Cyber Twin or one of the older blue Vox modeler 2x12s. They're nowhere NEAR as bad as some folks claim. Members jrockbridge
I've never owned or played through a Cyber Twin. So, the significance of my opinion should be based upon that context. Anyway, that amp is complete crap!....until I own one. :poke:
Members MichaelSaulnier
The thing that got me interested in a Cyber Twin was the tone stack options used instead of digital modeling to shape the tones. I avoid the internal effects except reverb... and use my Line6 M13 for everything else... I stayed with the tones I dialed in for my Mesa, and they worked out pretty closely. Like most amps, it's really hard to know how an amp's going to sound live by auditioning it by itself at lower volumes. But I was very pleased with the clean base tone I was getting... I'm using the 4 preset switch too, so I dialed in a VibroKing, Deluxe, and Twin clean tone... and one overdriven SuperReverb... they all sounded great... especially with my PRS McCarty. For some reason, that guitar really "sings" with this amp. They were pretty pricy when new, but since they're not "tube" amps... they haven't held their value well. I was able to get mine for $350. As a backup for my main amp... that's a pretty good deal. I may try running them both in stereo after I get my Mesa retubed! Who knew? M
Members pixelchemist
i can't say i like the dirty tones from them but i really like the cleans out of the cybertwin se that a friend of mine has... probably wont be buying one in the near futures since i have my electradyne but it was under strong consideration at one point
