Members Tubes In a Hat
I just saw that thread on TDPRI about Gil Yaron making his '59 replica... pretty awesome. There's vids on youtube of that guitar. Who makes the best Les Paul for the money? There's Tokai Love Rock, old Ibanez artist series, the Heritage H 150 On the extremely expensive side there's always the Gibson '59 vos... Is anyone getting that great old Les Paul mojo out of a cheaper alternative?
Members mnewb1
I have to admit...the only one on your list I have played is the Heritage..and I think it is an excellent guitar...but if I wan afford it, I'll take the VOS.

Members bigconig
Gibson Historics are pretty darned good. Keep your eye out for a used G0, Guitar center 60 reissue. They usually go around $2k used and are a screaming deal at that price.

Members Willyguitar
I love Les Pauls, but I have to say that most of the Gibson ones are probably not the best value for money. I have a Gibson LP Junior which is great, and a cheap knock off Chinese copy of a standard that does me fine. The Epi 56 goldtop is good value for money.
