Members Preacher
I'm curious about the NanoMAG pup system. Is it a gimmick? Does it legitimately make a difference? Could you see it being useful enough to use in gig situations? I'm not a fan of the quilt and the gold hardware but the contoured back and satin neck are nice. Whatever. I'm just curious if anyone really likes the "special" electronic features of the Ultra II...

Members CoqBelliqueux
So what all does that do? Gives you acoustic sounds? If that's all it does, you can add a piezo bridge to an LP you really like. Or does it offer more than that?EG Doesn't even sound anywhere close to an acoustic. Sounds better than a piezo (Petrucci is my only reference), but it's just like a weird filter thing. Doesn't sound like anything, really.
Members CoqBelliqueux
Well who wants something that sounds like nothing? I see Epi is using the nanoflex/nanomag in the Triumph bass guitar as well. Piezos are just to my ears anyway. Can't stand those things. EG Exactly. Piezo, Ultra 2, acoustic simulator...
