Members guitarman3001
My gf is moving to another state and we'll be doing the long distance thing for a while. I'll be visiting her at least once or twice every couple of months until one of us is able to move permanently. She wants to buy me a guitar to keep at her place so I'll have something to play when I'm there. Price has to be between 200 and 400. So, I want something decent enough to enjoy playing it when I'm there and also good enough to take to open jams and things like that. I tend to be partial to LP style guitars. Definitely want something with humbuckers. My #1 right now is a gibson LP studio faded. I know what I'd recommend to someone else in this situation (an epi LP of some type) but I'm curious to see what everyone else would recommend. Hell, I might even end up taking my epi LP custom that used to be my #1 and leaving that over there and have her buy me one of the goldtop epi LPs w/p90s and use that here. What else might you guys recommend?

Members Guitar Heel
I also second the PRS SE, any PRS SE (though the Korina would be my choice as well). I found a used soapbar for 350, and it's among my best players (to include some guitars that cost quite a bit more).
Members xStonr
The PRS is very nice, but I would get one the Agiles and have enough left over for a small amp.

Members Steadfastly
You're right at the top of your budget with this buying it new but used or eBay you can get one for under $300.00. It's not an LP but it is a very sweet guitar with humbuckers.
Members 23miles
Used G&L Tribute ASAT Classic or a dual pickup Gibson Melody Maker Reissue. I owned one of each and they are both terrific guitars, period. For the money, both are phenomenal.

Members Darkstorm
This: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/B.C.-Rich-Eagle-One-Electric-Guitar?sku=584461 Their fine stock but I did replace the neck pup on mine with a EMG H1 for crunchier neck position sound. And replaced the tune-o-matic bridge with a heavier mass black one I had in my parts box. Stock knobs replaced with black speed knobs. Add BC Rich deluxe gig bag. And your at around $250 plus $69 for new neck pup gives around $319 total for internet store like MF price costs with free shipping included. Did also add fretlord glow dotz glow in dark fretboard markers and knob markers for asthetics to mine to. Lol.
