Both sport the same pickups though the only difference I can see is that the Deluxe has four knobs compared to the two for the regular Thinline. Anyone with experience care to share? Members Carbohydrates Posted May 8, 2010 Members Share Posted May 8, 2010 It's got an extra volume and tone, 9.5" radius neck (as opposed to 7.25" on the 72 thinline), and better looking knobs. Its switch is located on the upper shoulder instead of on the pickguard, so the body's rear routed there to accommodate it. The thinline deluxe also has a 4-bolt neck instead of the traditional 3-bolt on the 72 thinline.
