Members Grokostimpy
I'm wondering if it's possible to wire up my guitar with only my pickup selector and a single tone control? I have a 2 humbucker guitar, and I like to use tone but I NEVER touch my volume control... so I want to get rid of it. Any reason why I shouldn't try it? Thanks guys!! Members *BLEEP*
I've seen this done before -- just an on/off switch, no volume. I'd have a volume pedal downstream, though.
Members PrawnHeed
No reason why you shouldn't try it, but what will getting rid of it give you that you don't already have?

Right now I'm dealing with a stacked/concentric pot for vol & tone but I don't like it. I'd rather just have the tone there.I'm just worried that the volume control might have some impact on the circuit even while at 10?
Members Elias Graves
It does. Whether you take it off 10 or not, there is still resistance in a pot and it alters sound. If you want to get really nitpicky about it, you can measure the reistance of the pot while dimed then install a resistor of that value in it's place. That should keep the sound pretty close. Members the_gunslinger
I would put some sort of on/off switch on it at least.
