Yoo,

Okay, so i need something to make me be louder during a solo or parts that need that extra punch in it. Such as a pedal or something. My amp does not have a boost switch on it so this is why im writing this thread. Do you guys have recomendations?

Plenty of companies, like BBE or EH, make a clean boost. A lot of guys like Brent Hinds of Mastodon or Gus G of Ozzy Osbourne take an Ibanez Tube Screamer or clone, drop the gain and crank the level to make it into a clean boost.

You could try a boosta grande. Or any other clean boost. You might also try a volume pedal or try using a wah. Or just try simply switching to your neck pickup. Anything that will help your tone sound different will help bring your solos out. Just play around and watch some you tube videos to see what fits your style.

Could you tell us what you're currently running?

If you're using a high gain sound, a boost out front of the amp will give you more gain, but not necessarily more volume. If you're running a cleaner sound, you might be able to get some volume out front with a boost though. What it might do even with high gain though is to change the character of the tone enough that it cuts through a little better.

Otherwise, if you have an FX loop, you can put an EQ in there and either just bump the volume up, or use it to shape the sound a bit to cut through better.

When I had my Mark III, my "solo" sound was my rhythm setting with a TS-9 out front and a Boss PQ-4 in the loop (with a delay as well). TS-9 changed the character of the tone a bit and the PQ-4 rolled off excessive highs and some lows, plus a volume boost (i.e. basically giving me a nice big overall mid boost).
