Members mutant_guitar
fife. I picked this up a few years back in colonial Williamsburg on a field trip. I got bored, so I decided to strip whatever finish it had and tru oil it. I think it turned out pretty well. The photos don't show it, but there's a fair bit of figure in the maple that shows now with the TO on it. god, I love that stuff. Before the refin, I'm pretty sure it was an epoxy finish. Now that it has the TO on it, it blows with less resistance and the lower register resonates much better. There's also an added sweetness to the mids, and it articulates much better. The TO makes for such a smooth and comfy grip. I can just shred up and down the finger holes. Just kidding, I can't actually play it. That's the next step.
