Members rusholmeruffian
Scored this from the 'Bay: It's a one-piece mahogany rear-routed Strat body in a beautiful red stain, with a Stew-Mac hardtail through-body bridge and ferrules thrown in. There's a ding between the bridge and the butt end, and the routing in the pickup cavities is kinda ugly, but for $91 shipped I can't exactly complain. The pic (taken by the seller--I'm moving house right now and it's chaos at home) really doesn't do justice to the beauty of the grain and the color. I'm using it to build a 12-string. I still haven't gotten the neck but I will get that soon enough. It's going to get another layer of clear satin poly and I might drill another control hole. Members Slave2TheAudio
Thats a great price! And the stain / wood grain looks pretty good! HNBD! (.Y.)
Members rusholmeruffian
BTW, this thing is heavy. The body alone is as heavy as my XV-650. Now, of course, that's a poplar semi-hollow, but still. I have a 12.5-pound bass, though, so I'll be fine with a padded strap.
